After being a member of LiveJournal some years ago, I have to admit that I haven't logged in here for a long, long time. So long in fact, I couldn't even remember my username or password and none of my usual email addresses seemed to be registered here. So, after many minutes trying to remember some of my old email addresses and respective passwords, I decided "ah, what the hell, I'll just re-join!" I dare say I won't be able to remember the usernames of any of my old pals on here so apologies if any of you happen to stumble across me and start wondering why I'm "ignoring" you!!

For those who don't know me though....

If you hadn't guessed already, my name is Sarah. Many changes have happened since my last LiveJournal account, these include a move up North (from Wales to the North East), getting engaged and now having a baby daughter. Not to mention the three dogs and a whole host of other animals that came in between the engagement and finding out (much to my surprise) about the pregnancy!

I'm currently a "stay at home mum" but my career path is now in that of a Pharmaceutical Laboratory Technician. I really enjoy the Lab work and will have to try and warm my bosses up to the idea of me going back part time once my Maternity Leave has finished. Prior to getting that job, I have always worked with animals, ranging from catteries and kennels to riding stables to Veterinary surgeries. Loved all animal work. In fact, I adore animals of all kinds aside from spiders. I love my pets. Currently they include three dogs (two border collies and one cocker spaniel), four gerbils (including litters of babies gerbils at times), a Bearded Dragon lizard, a terrapin and lots of tropical fish.


I am a science geek at heart and absolutely love all things physics, astronomy and quantum physics related. In addition to my love of animals, I am a very keen horse rider (when I can afford to be anyway - not so easy since I moved from Wales). I used to be a keen mountain biker too but again, this isn't as easy in County Durham as it was in Wales as I used to live just across a field from one of the worlds top mountain biking areas (voted top 3 mountain biking terrains in the world I'll have you know!!) I love rock, heavy metal and dance/trance music (an eclectic mix!)

I used to "blog" quite a lot on LJ but with a newborn (well, 12 weeks old now....) baby in the household I suspect I won't have as much chance to keep my pages as updated as I used to. I will endeavour to update them as often as possible though!
